Introducing Blue Poppy Home

I've been thinking a lot lately about community, purpose, and values and much of those musings led me to not only create this boutique, but also to think about the kind of impact I wanted it to have.

I want to support creators and small businesses. When I choose products from my suppliers, I look for more than whether I think you—the buyer—will love what I’m selecting. I start by seeking out pieces that are handcrafted or made in small batches, ideally from a single maker or family-owned business. I want what you find here to feel special—something you won’t come across in a big-box store. 

Everything I buy for the store is something that I would love to have in my own home— beautiful pieces that sometimes double as art or serve multiple purposes. Even those things that just bring a little joy to my daily life. I envision these items becoming part of your family for generations to come.

I'm particularly proud to feature women and minority owned businesses, many with a mission and purpose of their own. I look forward to sharing their stories with you in the future so you can get to know them and tell their stories as your guests compliment you on your amazing taste.

Finally, I have a goal to support sustainable practices both from suppliers and in my own shipping and packing processes. I'm working on getting to 100% compostable packing materials on everything I send out. When that's not entirely possible, I'm reusing supplies like bubble wrap and reusing them with purpose and doing so sparingly.

I couldn't be more excited to bring BPH to life and I am thrilled that you're found your way here as this community takes shape.
